Neil, Jenna & baby Braylon!

Neil, Jenna & baby Braylon!

Shoot #1 took place on an overcast day in October, and you know how fall weather and babies can be…a bit uncooperative!

After a few minutes Braylon wanted no part of the camera experience! Luckily I was able to get a handful of great images before the little tike really let us know he was “over it”.

Luckily shoot #2 went considerably better, setting up the in home studio, Braylon was much more comfortable in his own environment. An impromptu Angel Session and family portraits made for a win win combination.

Treccia Family Portraits

Repeat customers are the lifeblood of any small business, and I have been blessed with some outstanding ones.

The Treccia family was a blast last year with their Christmas Shoot, I was able to create some fantastic images of this truly beautiful family. Looking for some more outdoorsy photos this year we met up at Covered Bridge Park in Cedarburg, WI.

Unfortunately Mother Nature decided the flowers needed watering and we pretty much got poured on. Here are the photos from that day, I’m looking forward to a second shoot after the holiday chaos!

Zylka Photography really hasn’t fallen off the face of the planet…I swear!

What a wild ride these last few weeks have been. My poor photography business has been placed on the backburner while Maximum Outdoors was being created. But everything is now finally running smoothly. Which is good because the fall color and Christmas push is about to kick off.

Last week I was in Minnesota and I was able to capture some very pretty quick shots with my camera phone, it reminded me to sit back and take it all in, to relax, even for just 5 minutes and admire the peace and beauty that is all around me. So that when I have 4 Angel Sessions and 6 portrait sessions to edit, two wedding coffee table books, archery seminars to prep for, hunting trips to go on, blogs to write and then repost on three other websites, tech tips to record and edit, family functions to attend, newsletters and marketing campaigns to create and send, and of course fit my family life in there while somehow doing my Christmas shopping, I can close my eyes and see those peaceful photos that I’ve taken and smile.

After all, this is the life I love…
